Rupert Murdoch doesn’t live here. The Koch brothers don’t live here. Neither Goldman Sachs nor Wal-Mart is headquartered here. Rush, Beck and other right-wing talk-radio hosts don’t broadcast from here.

Last year, millions of Americans on globalization’s losing end let themselves be scared into voting, against their own interests, to send some very unstable people to Congress. That scare campaign happened outside the Beltway.

You sent these lunatics to our city, Rest of America. When you say “Washington is crazy,” you’re just looking in the mirror.
